gaining exposure at an industry event to maximise lead generation

As one of the south coast’s leading storage container providers, Storage on Site were keen to explore new avenues of potential business. This included targeting large national construction companies, most of which would be present at the main annual construction industry exhibition at the Birmingham NEC.

Being their first industry exhibition, Storage on Site needed direction to make an impact, get noticed and maximise the frequency of discussions and lead generation at the event.

In order to visually grab attention, 418 adapted and developed a sub-brand to Storage on Site’s already impactful visual identity. Strong colours and bold typography guaranteed all marketing would get noticed, with strong headlines driving engagement.

A planned regular social media campaign and targeted email marketing led up to the date of the exhibition, promoting an incredible event-only offer. Rather than providing the offer code directly in the marketing pieces, the call-to-action directed people to visit the stand to receive their code and claim their discount, thereby generating as much relevant traffic to the stand as possible.

Exposure at the show was fantastic, gained great feedback and ensured the number of leads obtained was considerable.

This resulted in winning new clients and potential partners, some of which are regular national accounts providing on-going business and profit.

Storage on Site are now exploring and developing new plans for further industry events with 418, along with looking at further options for next year’s UK Construction Week.
